Is there any way to keep my fiance from being deployed?

My fiance is in the OK National Guard. He is also about to start finaly semester of college (scheduled to graduate in December). I was wondering if there was any way to petition for a deferrment or exemption because he's still in college or for some other reason. We're getting married in a month and they are trying to deploy/mobilize him the week after we get married.
