Southerners and Texans, what do you think of these cities?

I used to live in Dallas, and it is a great city for living in and doing business. Austin might be better for doing graduate studies though. Austin has the University of Texas. Two branch campuses of UT are in the Dallas area, and they also have Southern Methodist University. Fort Woth, just west of Dallas, has Texas Christian University, which really is not very Christian. If you decide on Austin, you will be close to San Antonio which has a lot of nice places to visit. Dallas can get cold for a couple of days in the winter, but is generally vey mild in winter. The main weather issue is extreme heat in the summer. But some people like that.
