How do black families approach racism with thier kids?

Mostly its leading by example especially at a young age. Children will often repeat behaviors and language they get at home. I began discussing those types of world issues with my kids around 7 and 8 when theyre old enough to grasp the concept that everyone isnt a good person. I havent had to deal with a racist situation with any of my children (i have three) at this point and my two oldest are 12 and 11. I have had the discussion of and drugs with them already but there hasnt been a big focus on racism like i said because they havent had that arise personally. good luck and congrats on your lil one
