Creative death for halloween costume?

I need some Ideas. I want to be gorey, with some blood. I want an idea though, for like how i died or got injured, when I apply the makeup ans so forth.... I'm going to work, so I can't have like something sticking out of my head. for example, car wreck, murdered,, but i want something creative, and soemthing I can do on my own, any ideas? They can be as morbid or out there as you can think of, . Thanks!
