Yaz and breakthrough bleeding?

This is my fifth month to be on Yaz. I have noticed for the past couple of months I've had this light brown discharge about a week before I'm supposed to start my placebo pills. I still get my period like normal, but I don't know why it does this. I heard that breakthrough bleeding was normal the first couple of months, but should it have lasted this long?
