Are there any researchers heading to the Amazon Rainforest willing to take along a photographer?
I am a photographer and I recently graduated with my bfa in photography from Cornish College of the Arts. Now that I've been out of school for a while, I've had some time to think about my next project. What I really would like to do is to doent tribes that are open to same relations. I don't intend for it to be the entire focus of the book but I would basically like to show some cultures that are removed from our own and the ways in which their culture deal with same pairings. I plan to be entirely objective and sensitive to the material as well as the subjects. The amazon seems the perfect place to view a culture decidedly removed from our own and one that is set in such a beautiful locale which will make for gorgeous photographs. I've tried looking up researchers that go to the rainforest to study the tribes but have had very little luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
